Celebrated equality, acceptance and an LGBT+ friendly work environment.
Hosted Diversity leaders from Israel and abroad.
The event will included a panel with executives from IBM, Microsoft and from the UK based organization, OUTstanding, about ‘LGBTribes’ and strategic diversity plans aimed at embracing the LGBT+ community.
Launched the Israel Diversity Standard which calls on organizations to declare their commitment to creating a fair, equal, safe and encouraging workplace for LGBT+ employees and candidates.

Our 1st Pitch Night event!
We gathered the best panel in Israel to select one cutting edge and disruptive startup from our community. One that will takes it all!

{Trans·cendence}: Annual DLD event

At our annual DLD event, we celebrated Ma'avarim’s new scholarship fund for the trans community and granted 9 scholarships to members of the trans community, towards higher education!
We had the great privilege to host two inspiring leaders:
1. Assaf Rappaport, with fireside chat about his company Adallom that was sold to Microsoft for $350M.
2. Dave McClure the founder of the 500 Startups VC.

At our annual Pride event we enjoyed a beautiful sun-set, had drinks, celebrated pride and created meaningful connections with LGBT tech colleagues from around the world. DLD 2015 Annual event

At this special event we welcomed the local community, friends and guests from abroad coming to the DLD conference. The event would include both networking and sessions about start-ups.
We hosted:
1. Gilad Novik - CTO of Horizons Ventures to talk about "Exciting new trends in the industry". Horizons Ventures is a Hong Kong based VC founded by Li Ka-Shing. Among its investments are Skype, Siri, Facebook, Summly, and Waze.
2. David Kalmanson - Founder of InfiApps (Sold to a gaming company) - "The story of InfiApps". InfiApps, a mobile gaming company, was founded in 2012 to inspire players with magical, surprising and entertaining applications.

LGBT Tech Talks @Google

The purpose of this event was to talk about cutting edge technologies and advanced product solutions that would revolutionize our everyday life. (Inspired by TED Talks).
We heard two presentations:
1. Is the usage of biological algorithms the future of education?
"New genomic analysis algorithms disrupt the market of personalized education"
Dr. Ronen Tal-Botzer, data mining scientist and seasoned entrepreneur, who talked about his start-up venture and presented interesting findings from a large pilot at Bar-Ilan University.
2. Is cable/satellite-TV dying?
The cable/satellite pay-TV market is undergoing an enormous change in order to counteract threats posed by internet TV. Shuki Eytan, product marketing manager at Cisco, talked about these changes, how they will impact us and how Israeli companies are leading this change.

At this event we invited our community to hear the story of the transformation of Tel Aviv and to learn how one can build an international brand with limited budget.
